Jimmy Fallon Explains How He Injured His Other Hand

Posted on October 27, 2015

Jimmy Fallon had an accident this past weekend and injured his right hand. He was accepting the Elmer Award from the Harvard Lampoon on Saturday when it all went horribly wrong and Jimmy ended up at the ER -- again.

Last night on The Tonight Show Jimmy explained how it all went down. He said that after being honored, he wanted to give the Harvard band a silly award to show his appreciation: a bottle of Jägermeister. He went into the crowd to track one down. He explained, "So somebody gives me a bottle of Jägermeister. Apparently some girl was going to kneel down and give me a flower or something. So she knelt down. I didn't see her." He then mimed how he turned, didn't see the kneeling girl and tripped over her. He said he knew his left hand was already injured, so he threw the bottle and landed on his right hand. Unfortunately, he also landed in broken glass.

He then had to go to Massachusetts General Hospital to make sure he didn't have any more glass embedded in his hand. He noted, "I'm so used to going to hospitals now. It's kind of fun."

Jimmy then wrapped up the segment with a hilarious video of his adorable daughter refusing to say what Jimmy wants her to say. Even with her mom's urging, the little one does exactly what she wants. Ant that is to say "No!" Take a look:
