Cassidy Gifford Discusses The Gallows Movie on Today

Kathie Lee's 21-year-old daughter Cassidy Gifford appeared on Today to discuss her new film, The Gallows. She frightened Kathie Lee and Hoda Kotb with a scary and shocking clip from the film.

The horror film is Cassidy's first big film role. Cassidy is one of four students that find themselves trapped in their high school when things take a terrifying turn. The film opens in theaters this weekend. Cassidy also has two other films in production, Caged No More and Synkhole.

Cassidy says the film was shot guerrilla style on a very small budget. She says she got rug burns from the stunt seen in the clip. She says she did improv during the audition. A ghost went by during one of her auditions and she had to explain what she saw. Her character has her actual name, Cassidy, in the movie.

Kathie Lee says she is hoping Cassidy will do a lighter movie in the future - like a romantic comedy - overseas in France or Italy so she can come visit. Take a look:
