CNN says the video is from another camera. In the video Richard Heene is yelling and swearing. Howard Kurtz thinks the video seems very staged. The release of the footage by the Heene's comes as Richard Heene was seen sobbing as he told Larry King he thought his son was in the balloon. It's unlikely anyone is going to believe much of what Richard Heene has to say anymore. The Heenes appeared on the reality show Wife Swap and Richard's former "wife" said he was pretty mean to her when she lived with the family. But she didn't think he would become violent.
But Silver, a psychic from Saint Augustine, Fla., says when she predicted in the show's 100th episode that one of Richard's science experiments would "blow up" in his face, she never dreamed he would involve Falcon in an elaborate alleged hoax involving the flight of a helium-filled balloon seen by TV viewers around the globe. We're thinking Richard Heene needs to be evaluated by a psychiatrist. The yelling, the endangering the kids by having them chase tornadoes, the domestic abuse violations, the hoax...he sound pretty emotionally unbalanced to us. A home video released today showed the balloon taking off from the Heene's backyard. The father Richard Henne is there but little Falcon is nowhere in sight. Later there was another video released where Falcon says he's going to "sneak inside." The father's reality tv background and the father's interest in YouTube are also fueling speculation that the incident may have been done for publicity. Anderson Cooper discussed the controversy on his show tonight. Anderson Cooper says some of the home videos appear to be selectively edited by the Heene family.
