She and Liev Schrieber will star in a revival of Arthur Miller's drama, "A View From the Bridge." Variety reports: Plot centers on a Brooklyn longshoreman (Schreiber) who becomes romantically obsessed with his orphaned niece (Johansson). "View" bowed as a one-act verse play in 1955 before it was revised into a two-act prose drama, last seen on the Main Stem in a 1997 revival that starred Anthony LaPaglia.The play will have a fourteen week run which will be in previews starting December 28. On April 15, 2008 he'll star in A Chorus Line as Zach, the director who is casting the chorus roles for a new Broadway musical.
"Every actor dreams about appearing on a Broadway stage. I have as well, and have been searching for the right time and opportunity," said Mario. "A Chorus Line is a legendary musical and I am so honored to have been chosen to join the amazing cast and be a part of the Broadway family." Mario will star in the show until Sunday, September 7 with a hiatus from Sunday, May 11 through Tuesday, June 3rd. We think he's going to be fabulous.
