Strawberry Grown in Japan is the World's Heaviest Strawberry

Mr. Koji Nakao, a farmer from Fukuoka, Japan, has set the Guinness World Record for the heaviest strawberry. The strawberry weighs 250 g (8.82 oz). It has a height of 8 cm (3.15 in) and a length of 12 cm (4.72 in).
The giant strawberry underwent a mutation and it appears as if several strawberries have fused together. The strawberry is a Japanese variety called Amaou. The previous record holding strawberry weighed 231 g (8.14 oz) and was grown by G. Andersen of Folkstone, Kent, UK in 1983. The record stood for over 30 years before being broken by this heavier strawberry.
Mr. Nakao's daughter was the first to taste the enormous strawberry. She says it tasted delicious. The strawberry appeared on a TV show in Japan along with a cute strawberry mascot. Take a look:
