Octopus Named Rambo Photographs Visitors at New Zealand Aquarium

An octopus named Rambo is photographers visitors at the Kelly Tarlton's Sea Life Aquarium in Auckland, New Zealand. A camera was set-up inside Rambo's tank so he can take photos of visitors whenever she wants to.

The camera in Rambo's tank is a Sony Cyber-shot TX30. It is encased in plastic. There is a place where guests can stand for photographs. Rambo was trained to use the camera. It took her only three attempts to figure it out.

Rambo's trainer Mark Vette told Cult of Mac in an interview, "When we first tried to get her to take a photo, it only took three attempts for her to understand the process. That's faster than a dog. Actually it's faster than a human in some instances."

The octopus earns $2 for each photograph it takes. The money goes to conservation programs at the Sea Life Aquarium. Take a look:
