Giant Teddy Bear Faced RIBA II Robot Designed to Lift Patients Into Wheelchairs

If you get sick in the future - and need to be lifted off the floor and into a wheelchair - a large teddy bear faced robot may come to your aid.

With the help of a human, RIBA II, puts its long arms underneath a sick or disabled human. The robot then wheels over to a wheelchair and gently places the human into it.

Reuters says RIBA II can lift patients weighing up to 176 pounds. They will need to work on increasing RIBA's strength as many patients are heavier than that. Take a look:
