Bobbi Kristina's Aunt Disrupts Funeral, Made to Leave

Posted on August 1, 2015

Bobbi Kristina Brown's funeral was today in Atlanta. We were hoping everyone would put their differences aside for the funeral of the 22 year old daughter of Whitney Houston, but it was not to be. The Brown and Houston families have been feuding for months over everything from the medical treatment for Bobbi Kristina to plans for the funeral.

The funeral was apparently arranged by Bobbi's aunt by marriage, Pat Houston who is married to Whitney Houston's brother. The Brown family had a problem with the fact that Pat Houston arranged a "Sweet 16" theme for the funeral and asked that people donate to the charity she controls instead of sending flowers.

The funeral was invitation-only and no press was allowed inside. It all went well until Pat Houston began her eulogy for Bobbi Kristina. At that point Leolah Brown, Bobbi Kristina's aunt by blood, had had enough of Pat Houston and interrupted the eulogy. She told Pat that Whitney Houston would haunt her from her grave. At that point movie mogul Tyler Perry had to escort Leolah out of the service.

She talked to reporters briefly and pointed out that Pat Houston is no relation to Bobbi Kristina and that it was inappropriate to ask mourners to donate to a charity that she controls instead of bringing flowers. She said she has evidence against Pat Houston and that things are just getting started. We think she is referring to the upcoming battle over the reputed $20 million estate that Bobbi Kristina left behind.

Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious in a bath tub, just like her mother Whitney Houston. There is a pending criminal investigation over her death with boyfriend Nick Gordon. He was banned from the funeral, although he private requested that he be allowed to attend to say goodbye to Kristina.

Here is what Leolah Brown had to say outside the funeral:
