Star Wars Expands to Live Action TV The Star Wars universe continues to expand. Revenge of the Sith is being released on DVD, and Lucasfilm has just
opened a digital animation studio in Singapore. Lucas is also expanding its popular Clone Wars cartoons which air on Comedy Central.
Lucasfilm's Star Wars spin-off TV series Clone Wars is the studio's first project. This is an extension of an existing Cartoon Network show, whose five-minute episodes will now be extended to half-hour programmes following the battles led by Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi and other Jedi knights against the Army of the Republic (which feature in the cinema franchise at the end of Episode II: Attack of the Clones). It is planned that the series will be completed next year.Live action Star Wars TV show directed by Lucas, eh? That should certainly be interesting.
